(She/Her)
I am a licensed clinical social worker who splits my time between my private therapy practice and as the Clinical and Program Director of a New York grief organization. I am licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey and have specialized training in grief and bereavement, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal grief and loss, parenting, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy for grief.
After working for 8 years at a New York City hospital in obstetrics, neonatology, and pediatrics; providing individual and group counseling and running support programs through multiple New York City non-profit organizations specifically in the areas of grief and medical illness; and becoming a parent myself, I decided to build a therapy practice around supporting the patients and caregivers who I had worked with and the healthcare providers involved in that care.
My experience providing individual counseling to children, young adults, women at all stages of the perinatal journey, and parents, while also providing group therapy has allowed me to use the perspectives of the members in complex family and community systems to better treat each individual that I work with in therapy. My experience as a parent offers a deep compassion for and understanding of my clients’ experiences and emotions. My work extends throughout the life course to a specific expertise in grief and bereavement, especially in perinatal and child loss.
I am a graduate of Boston College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Human Development and English and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Social Work.
